The9^th Qingdao International Sailing Week·Marine Festival2017, includes6 sections and over30 activities, kicked off in Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center on11^thAugust.

Holding at the same time with the Qingdao International Beer Festival, Qingdao will hold Summer of Olympics Sailing beer & gourmet season and carnival in Measure Dam in the Olympics Sailing Center. Shandong People’s Friends award goes to3 foreigners in Qingdao

Famous football coach and German friend of Chinese people Mr. Klaus Schlappner, Mr. Maruyama from Qingdao Qeejoo Company, and Gerb Qingdao Control Co., Ltd. president Pu Enti were awarded Shandong People’s Friend recently.

Awarded to foreigners who make outstanding contribution to economic, social and foreign cooperation affairs of the province by Shandong People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the award is presented annually, and102 foreigners were awarded until now since2009. (Liu Zhenxing)

Qingdao’s4 invention patent indexes are No.1 in Shandong

Qingdao’s four major invention patent indexes, number of invention patent, PCT international patent application, domestic patent application and authorization cases, are No.1 in the whole Shandong province. According to the Notice of Patent Application and Authorization of Shandong in H12017 issued by Shandong Municipal Intelligence Rights Bureau recently.

In the1^st half of2017, Shandong has67,998 domestic effective invention patents, up20.9% year-on-year. Qingdao has19,994 invention patents, up25.6% year-on-year. At the same time, Shandong applied for465 PCT international patents,243 are from Qingdao, over half of the total number.

Qingdao is superior on domestic patent application and authorization cases in Shandong. In the1^st half of2017, Shandong has applied96,066 domestic patents,30,858 are invention patents. Qingdao applied25,312 patents, and10,517 are invention patents, more than1/3 of total number of Shandong. At the same time, Shandong got45,071 domestic patent authorizations, and9,217 are invention patents. Qingdao got10,336 domestic patent authorizations,2,961 are invention patents. Aggressive invention patent offers strong support to upgrade and transformation of Qingdao and Shandong economic development. (Li Wei)
